Fatherhood feels different in its own quiet way. Protective. Steady. Unspoken.

This season, I found myself noticing the little things dads do without even thinking about it. The way they instinctively reach out when tiny legs get wobbly learning first steps. The way they stand on the sidelines at every practice and game. The way they learn how to do ponytails for daughters who ask them to try anyway.

The forehead kisses. The carrying sleepy babies back to the car. The first dances years later that somehow still feel like yesterday.

Some dads teach through words. Others through example. Through hard work, early mornings, patience, consistency, and showing up again and again even when no one notices.

And in between all of that are the quieter moments. The ones children may grow up forgetting piece by piece, until a photograph brings them rushing back.

Not perfection. Not performance.

Just love in the ways fathers naturally give it.
